🍁 Fall Home Maintenance Checklist

Fall is here, and before the snow flies, it’s the perfect time to get your home ready for winter. A little prep now can save you a lot of stress (and money!) later.

Here’s a simple checklist to help you stay on top of things this season:

🏡 Outside Your Home

Clean out the eavestroughs – remove leaves and debris so water can drain properly.
Check the roof – look for missing shingles or signs of wear before snow builds up.
Shut off outdoor water taps – drain and store hoses to prevent freezing.
Trim trees and bushes – keep branches away from windows and the roof.
Tidy up the yard – rake leaves, store patio furniture, and cover your BBQ.

🔥 Inside Your Home

Change the furnace filter – keeps your air clean and your system running efficiently.
Schedule a furnace inspection – it’s better to catch issues now than in January!
Check windows and doors – seal up any drafts to save on heating costs.
Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors – replace batteries if needed.
Switch ceiling fans – run them clockwise to push warm air down.

🕯 Create That Cozy Feeling

Add blankets, swap in warmer lighting, and stock up on candles or firewood. Fall is all about comfort!

Pro Tip: Staying on top of small maintenance tasks keeps your home in great shape and protects your investment long-term.
